Selective Laser Sintering 3D Printing Service

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is a powerful and highly efficient 3D printing technology that excels in producing strong, durable, and highly detailed parts. As an advanced additive manufacturing process, SLS uses a high-powered laser to selectively fuse powdered thermoplastics layer by layer, creating complex geometries without the need for support structures. This capability makes it ideal for functional prototypes, end-use parts, and engineering components requiring superior mechanical properties.

We provide on-demand SLS 3D printing services to businesses across the UK, delivering high-performance nylon-based prints with fast turnaround times. Whether you need intricate designs, lightweight but robust parts, or production-grade components, our SLS printing service ensures precision, consistency, and high-quality results tailored to your needs.

Our SLS technology supports part sizes up to 680 x 370 x 580 mm, accommodating a wide range of applications. For larger designs, we offer an expert assembly service, allowing parts to be seamlessly joined while maintaining their mechanical integrity.

SLS 3D printing is widely used in industries such as automotive, aerospace, healthcare, and consumer products, thanks to its ability to produce parts with excellent strength-to-weight ratio, chemical resistance, and heat resistance. With no need for support structures, SLS enables greater design freedom, making it an excellent choice for complex assemblies, enclosures, and high-performance components.

Whatever your project requirements, our high-precision SLS 3D printing service is here to help you achieve exceptional, production-ready results. Contact us to discuss how we can support your next innovation.

Quality, Accuracy, and Layer Thickness

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is renowned for its exceptional accuracy and consistency, producing high-quality parts with fine detail and excellent mechanical performance. The process ensures dimensional stability and uniform strength across complex geometries, making it ideal for both prototyping and end-use applications. With no need for support structures, SLS enables intricate designs while maintaining tight tolerances and smooth, functional surfaces.

Key Quality & Accuracy Data

  • Dimensional accuracy: ±0.3% (minimum ±0.3 mm)
  • Layer thickness: 100 μm
  • Surface finish: Slightly textured, can be smoothed/polished
  • Mechanical properties: Excellent strength, wear resistance, and durability

This process ensures that every part meets the highest standards of precision, making it a reliable choice for demanding engineering applications.

Design Guidelines for SLS Parts

To ensure high-quality output with our SLS 3D pringint process, we recommend the following design parameters:

  • Minimum wall thickness: 1mm
  • Recommended maximum wall thickness: 10mm
  • Minimum feature size: 1mm
  • Minimum embossed/debossed text dimensions: 1mm line, 1.5mm thick/deep, 4.5mm letter height
  • Minimum hole diameter: 1mm
  • If possible, hollow your part leaving two holes to remove the powder from the hollowed volume.
  • Clearance for interlocking parts: 0.5-0.6mm
  • Large, flat plains should be avoided. They will warp

Our engineers will review every order prior to production and will notify you if any feature is non-printable or may result in poor quality, particularly when creating complex geometries suing the SLS manufacturing process.

Accepted File Formats for Additive Manufacturing

Our instant quoting system for additive manufacturing accepts STL, OBJ, and 3MF files.
